Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1376043A2] Engine cooling fluid flows through the heat exchanger to extract heat from the exhaust gas. The diffuser surrounds the rectangular-section tube (2) through which the exhaust gas flows and the tube has a wall (3) separating the exhaust gas from the cooling fluid. The tube has a lining dividing it into two channels (2a,2b). The channels are in contact along one of their broad sides (15) and contain baffles (26). The lining is supported by the inner surface (5) of the tube and is made of sections pinched together by pinched groove regions (6,7) in the tube.
