Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1376272A2] The method involves reading an individual code of a transponder and associating with a recorded time. An internal timer of the transponder is activated by an electromagnetic field produced at a goal or at an intermediate position. A transponder time is evaluated with a determination of a finish time from the recorded time as an adjustment amount. An Independent claim is also included for a device for automatic timing of mass sporting events.
