[origin: EP1376505A1] The device has an alarm insert with a sensor arrangement (2) and evaluation electronics and a housing (3) around the sensor arrangement with openings for the entry of air and smoke if appropriate to the sensor arrangement. The device is modular and is designed to accept detection modules with sensors for different fire parameters, whereby all detection modules are compatible with a single housing.
