[origin: EP1377118A2] The system has an external processor unit (1) with microphones (11A, 11B, 11C) to receive a signal for processing. Another signal processing unit is connected to a transducer. A transmission unit sends a processed signal to a reception unit (28) of a hearing aid (20) so that the reception unit delivers the signal to an output transducer. An Independent claim is also included for a method of operating a hearing aid.
