[origin: WO02081034A2] The invention relates to a training device for the respiratory system, comprising an outer housing (1) with a detachable respiratory air channel (2) linked with the housing, a mouthpiece (3), an air pouch (5) and a control device (14). A valve system, namely a plunger valve, is mounted in the respiratory air channel (2). Said plunger valve is provided with a valve body that is freely movable and has no fixed connection to the respiratory air channel (2). Force-producing means are present in the housing part (1) and/or in the housing of the valve system and maintain the valve body in the sealing position and determine the forces required for opening the valve. All parts that are in contact with the respiratory air can be easily dismounted and cleaned.
