Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2823499A1] The invention relates to a method and installation for treating water for human consumption, for an industrial process, for agricultural purposes or for other purposes. The method used to remineralize raw water comprises a stage in which carbon dioxide and at least one inorganic base are injected. According to the invention, the method comprises the following stages: the flow Q of raw water is separated into a flow Q1 and a flow Q2; only flow Q1 is remineralized by injecting carbon dioxide and at least one inorganic base, said remineralization being carried out in at least one remineralization basin; remineralized flow Q1 is mixed with untreated flow Q2. .

[origin: FR2823499A1] The re-mineralization procedure for untreated water consists of dividing the initial flow (Q) into two separate flows (Q1, Q2), only one of which (Q1) is treated by the injection of carbon dioxide and a mineral base selected from lime, soda, sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate. The treated flow of water can comprise between 5 and 95 per cent of the initial untreated flow, with the lime injected in the form of milk of lime or lime water, using a saturator. The injection of CO2 can be made through vents in a de-gassing tower for water charged with CO2 or by means of a pure product. The procedure can also incorporate an additional clarification, oxidation and refining process before and/or after the treatment of the separated flow (Q1).
