[origin: WO02084100A1] The invention relates to a fine filter (4), for a fuel pump unit (2) on a motor vehicle, whereby a filter element (11) has at least two sections (12, 13), concentrically surrounding the fuel pump unit (2). In the assembled state of the fine filter (4), said sections (12, 13) are fixed to the fuel pump unit (2) and a swirl pot (1). The filter element (11) is of a particularly economical embodiment and permits the application of a particularly fine mesh width, with low space requirement.
