Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02082148A2] The invention relates to an optical or optoelectronic module, comprising an optical bank (1) and a laser diode (10) arranged on the upper side of said bank or a group of laser diodes and first optical and/or optoelectronic elements arranged one after the other in the main beam path of at least one of the laser diodes (10), said elements comprising at least one focusing lens (15) and a fiber optical waveguide (18) having two optical end surfaces. Said modules are particularly used for signal or data transmission in telecommunications or laser technology. The first elements are arranged in or on an element holder (4) and form a structural component together with the element holder (4). An assembly holder (3) is also arranged on the upper side of the optical bank (1), wherein the elements on the element holder can be jointly adjusted in the beam path of the light emitted by the laser diode. The element holder (4) is arranged on the assembly holder (3) in such a way that the elements arranged in or on the element holder are located in the beam path of the light emitted by the laser diode (10) and the focusing lens (15) is irradiated by the light emitted by the laser diode (10) in the optical end surface of the fiber optical waveguide (18).
