[origin: WO02082160A1] The invention concerns a microscope comprising at least a optical device for magnifying (6) a preparation slide (46) placed on a rectangular slot (3) such that the entire length of the slide covers at least partly the length of the slot, the width of the slot being smaller than that of the slide, further comprising: means (10) for moving the optical device in the longitudinal direction of the slot over the entire length, a slide-carrier (1) for moving the slide in the direction of the width of the slot over the entire width of the slide; a digital camera (9) associated with the optical device; and means for reconstructing partly or completely an image of the slide, from the succession of lines shot by the camera during the displacements of the device and of the slide-carrier.
