[origin: WO02058142A2] The invention relates to a power module having a simple and cost-effective arrangement and ensuring reliable operation. To this end, a circuit comprising at least one electronic component is arranged on a carrier body. A conductor pattern is embodied on the upper side of said carrier body, and a structured cooler element consisting of the material of the carrier body is provided on the lower side of the same. The invention also relates to the use of the power module as a power converter for electric motors.
