Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1378275A1] Release mechanism for at least one holding device for a shoe binding for a sliding board, especially a ski, is electronically controlled and operates the holding device depending on the forces and/or torque acting on the leg of the user. The release mechanism has a spring-loaded blocking device which interacts with an anchor held by a magnet (6) whose release releases the holding device. The anchor is an anchor plate (9) arranged so that the holding force of the magnet acts at least in the longitudinal direction of the ski. The blocking device released when the anchor is released has components which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the ski. An Independent claim is also included for a binding comprising the above release mechanism. Preferred Features: The anchor plate is connected to the blocking device via a flexible connecting element, especially a cable (11).
