In a process to convert a paper-making machine (10a), a prior-art glue-press station (17a) is replaced by non-contact application station for liquid or paste agent. The conversion is made to the adhesive discharge station processing one or both sides of the web (M). Also claimed is a commensurate converted paper-making machine and a process to operate the same. The liquid or paste are applied as a jet or as a curtain.

Vorgeschlagen wird ein Verfahren zur Umrüstung einer Maschine (10a) zur Herstellung und Behandlung einer Materialbahn vorzugsweise aus Papier oder Karton, bei der eine bisher vorgesehene Leimpresse (17a) durch eine kontaktlose Auftragsvorrichtung (17c) zum Auftragen von flüssigem oder pastösem Auftragsmedium auf wenigstens eine Seite der laufenden Materialbahn (M) ersetzt wird. <IMAGE>
