[origin: EP2289815A1] The device (1) has an application device (10) including a discoid shaped compressible application unit (12) whose face has a section that is different from a section of a face of a support such that a part of a peripheral edge of the face of the application unit is remote from the support face. The application unit has foam layers, and a portion (12b) that forms an annular groove (18) opened towards the exterior, with the support so as to permit a part of the portion to bend by approaching the support during application. The support serves as a closure unit for a container (20).
