Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10118758C1] The invention relates to a device for stacking flat, flexible objects situated on a narrow edge, successively in a stacking compartment. The aim of the invention is to avoid the rear edges colliding with the front edges of the next objects, even when the objects have different lengths. To this end, a plurality of deviation elements (3, 4) are used, said elements being successively arranged in the direction of each stacking compartment, in order to deviate the rear parts of the objects (2) seen in the displacement direction; the distances between the objects (2), the length thereof and the position thereof at certain points in time are determined; and, based on said values, the deviation elements (3,4) are temporally controlled in such a way that, for both short and long objects (2), the rear parts of the objects (2) are deviated in relation to the rear edge inside a maximum distance.
