[origin: WO02083536A1] The invention relates to a hand device (1) for transferring an element of a support band (21), preferably a support film, onto a substrate, comprising a housing (3) which can be opened and closed enabling an interchangeable cartridge (2) to be charged and discharged. Said housing comprises two lateral flat regions (4, 5) arranged opposite each other (4, 5) and a lateral wall region (6) which is disposed in a peripheral position therebetween. The interchangeable cartridge (2) comprises an application and pressure element (16) and has two opposite-lying lateral surface areas (19, 20). It also comprises a feeder or supply reel (15) which provides the support band (21) and a take-up wheel (15) which receives the support band (21). The lateral flat regions (4, 5) are configured in such a way that they are displaceable with regard to each other and the lateral flat regions (4, 5) and/or the lateral wall region (6) of the hand device (1) or the housing (3) are formed, at least partially, by lateral surface areas (19, 20) of the interchangeable cartridge (2) and/or by the lateral wall region (7) of the interchangeable cartridge (2) which is embodied between the lateral surface areas (19, 20) of the interchangeable cartridge (2).
