[origin: WO02084124A1] A screw compressor unit comprising a compressor body (2) defining a comression chamber (2a) within which there are housed at least two screw rotors (3) engaged with each other and operated by motor means (1); means for separating the lubricating oil entrained by the compressed gas arranged in a separation chamber (14) communicating with the compression chamber (2a); means (17) for filtering the compressed gas issuing from the separation chamber (14); heat exchange means (5a, 21) for cooling the separated lubricating oil. The heat exchange means are provided on a shell (5) that delimits the separation chamber (14) and comprise a heat exchange surface (5a) along which a flow of cooling air is forced to circulate, the oil separated from the compressed gas in the separation chamber (14) being brought into contact with said surface. There are also provided coupling means for connecting said compressor body (2) to said shell (5) and means (26) for conveying the cooling air towards the heat exchange surface (5a) enclosing at least the compressor body (2) and said separation chamber (14).
