Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1380366A1] A rocker (33) supports an upper feeding roller (10) which cooperates with a lower feeding roller (22) for feeding a strip shaped blank (7). A pressure spring (84) is arranged between the rocker and the housing of a threaded spindle (50). The pressure springs press the rocker with an upper shaft (69), on which the upper feeding roller is supported, onto a lower shaft (73) with lower feeding roller. The apparatus includes two double arm levers (93), each having two arms (94,95). An adjusting nut (57) is arranged on the threaded spindle and supports first double arm lever. The second double arm lever is pivotally mounted at its arm (94) through a connecting strip to the arm (95) of first double arm unit. The arm (95) of second double arm unit is pivotally mounted through a control rod (71) to the rocker (33). The arm (94) of the first double arm unit supports a bolt which projects into the elongated hole (59) of an eccentrically supported rod (96). An Independent claim is also included for a method of operating a feeding apparatus.
