The cooling process involves the use of a pre-swirler (20) fitted to the blades on the head side, so that coolant can be guided from one blade to the next without the direction of flow of the coolant having to be reversed. The coolant is also accelerated. The accelerated coolant goes to the cooling channels from one blade to the next in the direction of flow.

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Kühlen von an einem drehbar gelagerten Rotor (30) einer Turbine befestigten Laufschaufeln (26,28) mittels eines Kühlfluids vorgestellt, wobei eine Versorgung von Turbinenlaufschaufeln (26,28) mit Kühlfluid geschaffen wird, mit der eine Modellierbarkeit der Strömung erreicht werden kann. Dazu wird ein Preswirler (20) vorgeschlagen, der kopfseitig an Leitschaufeln (42) angeordnet eine Kühlfluidführung zur der der Leitschaufel vorgeordneten und der der Leitschaufel nachgeordneten Laufschaufel (26,28) ermöglicht, ohne einer Richtungsumkehrung der Kühlfluidströmung zu bedürfen. Weiterhin erfolgt vorteilhaft eine Beschleunigung des Kühlfluids. Ferner wird eine verfahrensgemäß gekühlte Turbine sowie ein Preswirler zum Einsatz in der Turbine vorgeschlagen. <IMAGE>
