Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1380728A1] The valve drive device has an elastic transfer member (5) in the path between the cam (4) and the valve stem (6). An adjustable valve stroke limiting element (13) is fitted, which can act against the opening force of the cam on the valve stem or transfer member. In at least one activated position, this element limits the opening path of the valve (2) by elastically deforming the transfer member to a pre-defined extent.
