Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1381123A1] The crimping press machine has a top carriage (11) on which the tool (OW) is mounted that forms the metal crimping connectors onto a wire. The wire in inserted into the gap between the tool and the connector. The lower section tool (UW) has a feed mechanism for connectors mounted in a cassette (KA). A motor (MO) provides power for the crimping operation and is linked to provide component feed motion. Force sensors control the operation.
