Abstract (en)

The sandal, made from a water-resistant and especially a plastic material, consists of an upper and a sole in two layers (4, 8). The upper layer of the sole has a sloping surface (8a), angled at about 3.5 degrees and covered with projections (9) 4 - 12 mm long that support the feet. The sloping surface of the sole leads to slots or holes (11), preferably 7 - 10 mm in diameter, in the sole's raised edges (7) to shed any water that collects on the inner surface of the sandal.

La sandale de piscine comporte une tige et une semelle pourvue de projections destinées à être en contact avec le pied de l'usager et qui présente un rebord périphérique. La face supérieure (8a) de la portion (8) de la semelle dans laquelle sont implantées les projections (9) est en pente et le rebord (7) périphérique présente au moins une ouverture (10,11) pour l'évacuation de l'eau s'écoulant le long de ladite pente. <IMAGE>
