[origin: EP1382272A1] Shelf system comprises two rails (10), and brackets for holding shelf boards and suspended in the rails. Undercut grooves (11) having a front opening slit are provided in the vertical rails. Strips (12) with suspending recesses for the brackets are arranged in the grooves. Preferred Features: The rails are made of light metal, such as aluminum, or plastic. The strip consists of a flat metal strip made of iron or steel. The strips are fixed in the groove using bolts (15).
