Abstract (en)
The screwdriver chuck is designed to engage with screw heads that have stepped layers (4, 8), one with teeth and a smaller smooth one to receive the tips (22) of the chuck's jaws (17). The chuck consists of a socket (10) with a hexagonal shank (12) and two cavities (13, 14) for the screw head and jaws to receive the screw head. A third cavity (15) contains an axial core that presses against the end face of the screw head.

L'embout selon l'invention comprend, d'une part, une douille (10) apte à être entraînée en rotation et présentant à l'une de ses extrémités une cavité coaxiale s'ouvrant à l'extérieur de manière à pouvoir recevoir la tête de la vis, la surface intérieure de la douille (10) qui délimite cette cavité présentant au moins une conformation apte à venir en prise avec celle de la tête de la vis, de manière à pouvoir assurer un couple de vissage et, d'autre part, des moyens de préhension (17) qui s'engagent dans l'espace compris entre les plans des épaulements pour venir en prise sur la portion cylindrique (8). <IMAGE>
