Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1382539A1] The one-piece stopper, for a bottle, has a body (1) to be fitted to the neck of the bottle and a cap (2) linked to the body by a lateral hinge (3). The body has a rigid upper section (1a) to give a sealed fit when the cap is closed and locked. The body has an inner tube (10) to deliver the bottle contents, and a lower flexible section (1b) which can be distorted to fit over the bottle neck. The one-piece stopper, for a bottle, has a body (1) to be fitted to the neck of the bottle and a cap (2) linked to the body by a lateral hinge (3). The body has a rigid upper section (1a) to give a sealed fit when the cap is closed and locked. The body has an inner tube (10) to deliver the bottle contents, and a lower flexible section (1b) which can be distorted to fit over the bottle neck. The cap has a locking hook (21) at a tab (22), which clicks into an opening (12) in the upper part of the body. The hook has barbs (21a) which are fractured when the cap is opened for the first time, and remain within the opening. The stopper structure is produced by a two-component injection molding process.
