Abstract (en)

The fuel system (112) has a high pressure fuel pump(122) mechanically driven by the internal combustion engine (114) and an auxiliary high pressure fuel pump (124). The high pressure fuel pumps deliver fuel into a common fuel line (142). The mechanically driven high pressure fuel pump and the auxiliary high pressure fuel pump form a unit (120). AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a motor vehicle with an internal combustion engine and a fuel system.

Ein Kraftstoffsystem (112) für eine Brennkraftmaschine (114) mit Kraftstoff-Direkteinspritzung umfasst eine Hochdruck-Kraftstoffpumpe (122), welche von der Brennkraftmaschine (114) mechanisch angetrieben wird, und eine Hochdruck-Hilfskraftstoffpumpe (124). Um die Integration der beiden Hochdruck-Kraftstoffpumpen (122, 124) in die Brennkraftmaschine (114) zu erleichtern, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die mechanisch angetriebene Hochdruck-Kraftstoffpumpe (122) und die Hochdruck-Hilfskraftstoffpumpe (124) eine Baueinheit (120) bilden. <IMAGE>
