Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1383141A1] Two metal interfaces (3) are fixed to two ends of a ring (2) and the metal reinforcements (1) for the insulator can be secured to these interfaces. A coating (6) is formed around the ring and interfaces, an end section of each interface being left uncoated, in order to allow a metal reinforcement to be secured to it at a later time. An Independent claim is also included for a medium voltage distribution composite insulator produced by this method, in which each interface comprises a tube.
