Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02085769A1] A device to assist in the application of an adhesive tape to a predetermined position in the width direction on an adherend surface having a neighboring surface linked thereto via a folding line. The device comprises a pressing member (1200) with a surface (1202) attached pressingly to a surface (1002) of an adherend member (1001), and at the same time, an edge (1008) between a sloping surface (1007) and an upper surface (1205) makes line contact with a neighboring surface (1004) near a folding line (1003) of the adherend member (1001), thereby defining the position of the pressing member (1200) in the width direction relative to the adherend surface. The position of an adhesive tape (10) relative to the pressing member is defined by an upper surface of a tape guide attaching member (1410) and a lower surface of a flange (1421) of a guide bar (1420). Unapplied tape (10, 11) is guided by the guide bar and an unapplied tape guide (1430), and a liner (11) separated from the adhesive tape is guided by the guide bar and a liner guide (1440).
