[origin: WO02090675A1] The invention relates to a cover (20) for a drainage device, especially a drainage channel with a channel body (10) which is provided with a cover which can be placed on an upper edge (12) of the channel body, said cover having stop elements (21) which protrude into the channel body (10); also comprising at least one fixing element (30) which is used to fix the cover (20) onto the channel body (10) or onto a groove (14) which is arranged on the channel body in order to reinforce the upper end. The fixing element (30), when in a locked state, engages with a recess (13) of the channel body or groove (14). The stop elements have at least one recess (22) for guiding the fixing element (30) which protrudes from said recess (22), in order to fix the cover (20) to the channel body (10) in a sustainable manner, to produce and assemble a fixing element in a simple manner, and to provide a channel cross-section which is free.
