Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1384582A2] The hand carrier (3) for printing press cylinders has an adjustable slit ring assembly (5) to fit onto the blanket and clamp it (17) so that the blanket is retained. The clamping effort of the ring assembly is limited by the width of the slit. The maximum retraction of the ring is slightly less than the size of a cylinder blanket to be clamped. The clamp can be formed as an elastic ring.
