Abstract (en)
[origin: WO02087376A1] The invention concerns an antiskid material comprising an elastomer matrix (1) and having at least a contact surface (1a), characterised in that said matrix (1) incorporates flexible fibres (11, 22, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81, 91, 101, 112, 121, 131, 141, 151, 161, 171, 181, 182, 191, 192, 2011, 211) inclined relative to said contact surface (1a), said fibres being made of a material having a rigidity higher than that of said matrix (1), said fibres being supported or maintained, directly or indirectly, in said matrix (1) by means of at least one element forming a support (12, 23, 32, 72, 82, 92, 102, 103, 111, 113, 122, 123, 133, 143, 152, 162, 2013, 212), and at least one end of said fibres is flush with or slightly overlaps said contact surface (1a) such that said fibres improve the friction factor of said material. The invention is applicable to tyres, shoe soles, antiskid mats, transmission belts, rollers or driving rollers, goods handling gloves.
