Abstract (en)
[origin: WO02087794A1] Equipment for cleaning tubes of the type of spiral tube (1) as used in boreholes for oil or gas where length of hundreds of metres occur. The tubes (1) have to be cleaned of deposit, possible radioactive, before winding on large drums. The equipment consists of a case (5) which is divided in length where adjustable guiding rollers (2) lead the tube (1) through a divided sprayhead (9). The sprayhead (9) is provided with a number of spray nozzles (11) which are connected to a high pressure pump. The nozzles (11) in the sprayhead (9) are placed with an angle (14) to obtain a proper cleaning. During the process the case (5) is evacuated with a pump of great capacity. The halves of the case (5) fit together without specific sealing.
