[origin: WO02086267A1] The invention relates to a guiding device for sliding doors (1) in a piece of furniture, particularly for glass sliding doors, which are relatively heavy. The guiding device comprises a guiding element which is embodied as a cylindrical bar (6) and at least two swivelling rollers (3) which are secured to the sliding door by securing elements (5). The bar (6) is secured to the body of the piece of furniture (2) by holding elements (7, 17). The swivelling rollers (3) are provided with a bearing surface (4) whereby that said surface (4) lies fully on the bar (6) at the contact point with said bar (6).
