[origin: EP1387019A2] A metal staircase handrail consists of a series of upright supports (1) with side-apertures for link-bars. The upright support aperture forms a socket which receives esp. a two-part discus-shaped socket fixture with apertures for the link-bars. The discus rotates within the socket to any selected angle.
