[origin: WO02084102A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1) for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, comprising a valve needle (3), which co-operates with a valve seat surface (6) to form a seal seat and an armature (20) that acts upon the valve needle (3). The armature (20) can be displaced axially on the valve needle (3) and is damped by a damping element (32) that consists of an elastomer. Said damping element (32) rests on a sleeve (31) that is connected to the valve needle (3) by a non-positive fit. The damping element (32) is located in a recess (35), which is configured in a front face on an outflow side (34) of the armature (20).
