Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02093011A1] The invention relates to a reciprocating engine, especially a refrigerating agent compressor (1) for the air conditioning system of a motor vehicle, comprising an engine shaft (2), several pistons (4) whose axles are arranged on a cylinder jacket at an equal distance relative to the engine shaft and around said engine shaft, a ring-shaped captive C-washer (5 ) driven by the engine shaft (2) and engaging with the piston by means of an articulation arrangement (6), wherein said articulation arrangement has a receiving element with a spherical shape at least in certain areas, in which at least one sliding element is movably arranged in relation to the assigned piston and the captive C-washer. According to the invention, a power transmitting central point (K) located by approximation on the cylinder jacket of the piston axles is assigned to the articulation arrangement (6), said central point being positioned in front of the corresponding piston axle (12) relative to the sense of rotation of the captive C-washer (5). The invention can be used in refrigerating agent compressors for motor vehicles.
