[origin: WO02080340A1] The invention relates to a multi-pole commutator motor (14) comprising at least four stator poles (16-19) and armature windings (31-42) that co-operate with said poles and that are respectively electrically connected to two commutator bars (1-12) of a commutator (22) for supplying current. The number of said windings is greater than that of the stator poles (16-19). To reduce the number of brushes (20, 21, 23, 24) forming a contact with the commutator (22), armature windings (31-42), which form armature poles that are oriented in the same direction, are connected in parallel by means of electric bridge conductors (43-48) on the armature side. The commutator motor (14) is characterised in that the bridge conductors (43-48) are guided at least partially via armature slots (71-82).
