[origin: WO02092861A1] A method for heat treatment of metal strands, especially steel strips (1), wherein a moving metal strand displaced at a speed corresponding to a set production quantity is heated in order to obtain high temperature gradients and the amount of heat required for the heat treatment of metal bands (1) can be provided in a short time period for fast-running metal strands, whereby a flux concentrator (5) is used, enabling the metal strand temperature to be controlled in the millisecond range for a fast-moving metal strand by means of inductive heating.
