Abstract (en)
The hard shell (1) of the helmet is open at the bottom. It has soft padding (7) round the back of the neck, and padding (14) round the wearer's head extending down as far as the lower rim (6) of the helmet. The front part of the neck opening (5) is partially closed by an L-shaped piece of soft material (15') attached to a straight piece (15'') at the side of the helmet by an interlocking hook and pile fastener (16). The edge (13) of the soft neckpiece (15) is in contact with the front of the wearer's neck.

Bei einem Integralhelm mit einer schlagfesten Kalotte (1) und einer stoßdämpfenden Innenausstattung, wobei die Kalotte (1) eine Einschlupföffnung (5) aufweist, die mit zur Anlage am Kopf des Helmträgers bestimmten Polstern (7) und/oder windabweisenden Materialien (9) zur Abdichtung der Einschlupföffnung (5) gegen Windeintritt eingefasst ist, wird eine zusätzliche merkbare Geräuschdämpfung im Innenraum des Helms dadurch erreicht, dass am Rand der Einschlupföffnung (5) ein weiches, zur Anlage am Hals (8) des Helmträgers eingerichtetes Abdichtteil (13) befestigt ist, das Spalte zwischen Hals (8) des Helmträgers und Polstern (7) und/oder windabweisenden Materialien (9) in der Einschlupföffnung (5) überdeckt. <IMAGE>
