Abstract (en)
A system for transferring an inkjet image onto a textile comprises (a) a carrier; with (b) a melt transfer layer containing a meltable thermoplastic; (c) an ink absorption layer containing a meltable thermoplastic with embedded fine filler particles capable of ink uptake; (d) a porous, ink-permeable contrast layer containing a bright or white pigment; and (e) a porous and ink-permeable melt transfer layer containing a meltable thermoplastic. Independent claims are also included for forming the image on a textile by (i) printing a mirror-inverted image on the transfer system, contacting transfer layer (E) with the textile, heating to melt the plastics material in layer (C) and removing the carrier after cooling or (ii) producing a computer-generated image on the system, laying the system on the textile via the side exposed by the carrier removal and heating to melt the matrix material.

Die vorliegende Erfindung beschreibt ein Übertragungssystem von durch einen Tintenstrahldrucker erzeugten Bildern auf ein dunkles Textilsubstrat, umfassend ein Trägersubstrat; eine auf dem Trägersubstrat angebrachte erste Schmelztransfer-Schicht enthaltend mindestens ein schmelzbares thermoplastisches Kunststoffinaterial; mindestens eine Tintenabsorption-Schicht, enthaltend ein thermoplastisches schmelzbares Kunststoffmaterial, in das feine Partikel eines Füllmaterials, das die Fähigkeit zur Tintenaufnahme besitzt, eingebettet sind; mindestens eine poröse, tintendurchlässige Kontrastschicht, enthaltend ein helles Pigment oder ein Weisspigment; mindestens eine zweite Schmelztransfer-Schicht enthaltend ein schmelzbares thermoplastisches Kunststoffmaterial, wobei diese zweite Schicht porös und tintendurchlässig ist.
