[origin: EP1391557A2] The roadway has edging stones (5',5'') with a foundation (34) for the passage between the carriageways (3,6). The carriageways are at different levels with the difference compensated for by angled edging stones. The edging stone blocks have at least ninety percent of their height below the carriageway. There is a recess (22,23,25) formed in the lower area (21) of each edging stone.
