[origin: US7147394B2] A writing insert for a writing implement, in particular for a fineliner writing implement. The writing insert includes a writing member with a writing tip, a casing part with a through cavity in which the writing member is at least partially accommodated and from the one end of which the writing member projects with the writing tip, a guide device connected to the casing part for guiding the writing member and a spring element which elastically biases the writing member in the direction of the writing tip. The instrument provides that the casing part is made from a transparent material, preferably a transparent plastic material.
