Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2825580A1] Reducing the sensitivity of plants to diseases and attack by pathogens comprising overexpressing a lipoxygenase (I) in the plants, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) expression cassette (EC) functional in plant cells and plants, comprising a constitutive plant promoter that controls expression of a sequence (II) encoding a (I) at least 90 % homologous with a 862 residue amino acid sequence (S1), given in the specification; (2) vector containing EC; (3) plant cells transformed to contain EC and/or the vector of (2); and (4) transformed plants containing EC, the vector of (2) and/or the cells of (3).
