[origin: WO02101226A1] Disclosed is an induction pipe, especially for internal combustion engines, comprising a base body (110) which has a plurality of semi-shell shaped longitudinal recesses (11 - 114) extending next to each other, and a cover (122) provided with semi-shell shaped elements ((123 - 126) which are connected to each other by means of connector elements (127). According to the invention, a channel (115) is formed in between the adjacent recesses (111 - 114) of the base body (110), said channel receiving a U-shaped connector element (127), whereby the beam part (129) thereof can be brought into contact with the bottom of the channel and welded, and whereby the limbs (128) thereof form extensions of the contact surface of the semi-shell shaped elements (123 - 126)
