Abstract (en)
The front binding (1) for a snowboard has two jaws (5a,b) to retain a boot vertically and laterally. The jaws are mounted on a carriage (4) movable between end positions in which the boot can be released by tilting of one or other of the jaws. The carriage is returned to an intermediate position by a spring. The tilting axes of the jaws are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the binding.

La fixation (1) avant comprend deux mâchoires (5a, 5b) retenant verticalement et latéralement une chaussure par leurs actions sur la semelle de la chaussure, articulées sur un chariot (4) mobile en translation entre deux positions extrêmes dans lesquelles l'action du chariot (4) sur des moyens d'échappement provoque la libération de la chaussure par basculement de l'une ou l'autre des mâchoires (5a, 5b). Le chariot (4) est rappelé dans une position intermédiaire par un moyen élastique. La fixation est caractérisée en ce que les axes de basculement des mâchoires (5a, 5b) sont parallèles à l'axe longitudinal de la fixation. La fixation permet de retenir une chaussure présentant une semelle facilitant la marche de son utilisateur. <IMAGE>
