Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1393783A1] The front binding (1) for a snowboard has two jaws (5a,b) to retain a boot vertically and laterally. The jaws are mounted on a carriage (4) movable between end positions in which the boot can be released by tilting of one or other of the jaws. The carriage is returned to an intermediate position by a spring. The tilting axes of the jaws are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the binding.
