Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1393904A2] The press has a working cylinder (2) bearing embossing plates (16) of patterns of a material to be laid on a strip (14). An anvil cylinder (4) with a periphery is placed such that peripheries are in opposition and spaced apart. A prestress application assembly operates to exert a defined prestress between the two cylinders. Cone-shaped surfaces of contacts adjust a space (13) between the cylinders.
