[origin: DE10128424A1] The system has a hydrodynamic coupling (12), especially a torque converter, with a housing (14) for connection to a drive shaft to rotate with it as well as a driven element for introduction into the drive connection to a gearbox arrangement. An electrical machine (62) has a rotor arrangement joined to the housing to rotate with it and a stator arrangement carried by a housing (74) at least partly enclosing the coupling. The housing has a coolant channel arrangement (80) in its region that carries the stator.
