[origin: WO02097223A1] The invention relates to a device (1) for indicating the locked state of a key-operated lock. Said device comprises a housing (4), which is mounted on the key and contains a rotational direction sensor (8) with a hollow body (24) that is filled with a first electrically conductive liquid (28) and has electrically conductive contacts (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H), for generating electrical contact sequences that are dependent on the locking direction, in addition to an electronic evaluation unit (6), which determines the locked state of the lock from the contact sequences. The device (1) is characterised in that the hollow body (24) is essentially filled completely with the first electrically conductive liquid (28) and with a second electrically non-conductive liquid (30), which repels the first liquid (28).
