Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02090756A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection device (10) used in internal combustion engines (94). Said device comprises a body (12) having an injection end (18). A recess (20) is formed in the body (12). An axially mobile valve element (24) which is located in the recess (20) co-operates with a valve seat and has, opposite the injection end (18), a pressure surface (36) which axially delimits a control chamber (38) which is itself radially delimited by a sleeve member (40). A device (55) prestresses the sleeve element (40) in a direction of a first body part (16) as well as the valve member (24) towards the injection end (18). The aim of the invention is to improve the operating precision of this fuel injecting device (10). For that purpose, the device (55) comprises separate prestress devices (46, 50) among which one pretress device (50) impinges upon the valve member (24) and another prestress device (46) impinges upon the sleeve member (40).
