Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02101473A1] The invention relates to a clock (1) comprising a clockface (2) with hands (31, 32, 33) and clockwork elements (4). Said clockface (2) comprises a non-rotationally symmetric surface (20) in the direction of rotation of the hands (31'). The inner ends of the hands (31, 32, 33) are rotatably mounted in a displaceable manner around a pivoting axis (151, 152, 153) which extends in a peripheral manner with respect to the peripheral rotational axis (30) of the hands and in a perpendicular manner with respect to the longitudinal axis of the hands. A control element (5) is provided, enabling the hands (31, 32, 33) to be pivoted in such a way that they can be displaced at an equal distance from the surface of the clockface (20) as they go round. Said novel clock is characterised in that the hands (31, 32, 33) on the inner end thereof or near thereto are rotatably mounted around a rotating axis (131, 132, 133) extending in the longitudinal direction of the hands; the hands (31, 32, 33) are flat in the visible region thereof; and a control element (6) is provided, enabling the hands (31, 32, 33) to be rotated around the rotational axis (131, 132, 133) thereof in such a way that they can be displaced parallel to the clockface surface (20) as they go round.
